Audacity/Podcasting Unit Reflection
Overall, this unit was very enjoyable. Before, I had never used Audacity before nor had I either created a podcast: as a result, I came into podcasting with a blank sheet of knowledge. Learning about how to use Audacity was thus a completely new experience for me. But podcasting was fun, and I enjoyed about learning about its many applications. Learning of the many free programs available for podcast makers to use was also very interesting, for using them can allow me to create high quality, professional sounding podcasts. Audacity, especially, was a program that interested me, and it is a wonderful feeling to know that I can still use it at home.

Podcast Project
For this podcast project, I have chosen to work in a group on the Newscast project with Conor Branson and Melanie Thieman. In our project, we will first begin with a discussion of a recently found planet, Gliese 581 c. Located many light years from Earth, Gliese 581 g is very exciting because it has the potential to sustain life. We will follow this up with a commentary of whether or not we ought to try to contact alien beings. After this, we will move back to Earth to discuss the current Missouri weather and current events in football and other sports.

Electronic Users' Bill of Rights/VoiceThread: Unit Review
Overall, I enjoyed this unit. Before, I had never heard of VoiceThread, and it was enlightening to learn of such a free and useful resource that could present information in a creative manner. VoiceThread was very fun, and I'm sure that it will be useful both for personal usage and for later projects in other classes.
One minor problem I had with this unit was the our limited independence. I know that we were given specific projects so that we could become familiar with VoiceThread, but I would have liked to have a greater degree of freedom in choosing projects; for example, you could present us with several options for a project and let us choose one to complete. This is because I feel that if we were given more free rein, we would be more engaged in projects.
